Podcast is the New Pink
By The Parodist | March 27, 2007
With the rising popularity of podcasting here in our local ’sphere, it’s great to see budding projects take shape. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot more people get into it — it is fun to do.
My first serious guesting in a podcast was on the 2nd episode of the joint project of Yuga and Jayvee, fondly called the BoBCast (The Band of Bloggers Podcast). Why serious? Because if you’ve listened to The BuggedCast Episode 0 aka the Mindoro Podcast, I was there, too! Er, anyway, moving on. It’s now up over at Yuga’s and was dubbed BoBCast, Episode 2: Luk4 Angel Locsin.
It was an interesting experience and, not to mention, informative — minus the serious BS, that is. I guess, perhaps it helped that we talk about such things in real life anyway so why not record it and share it with the rest of you, right? It’ll be like we started the conversation offline then brought it online so that everyone can join in the fun. I find it way cool.
I have to admit. I knew that this podcast thingie has been around for years! In fact, I’ve been listening to my sister, Shai In 60 Seconds, way back early 2005 and I enjoyed it since it’s good to hear her voice (since we live in different continents). I kinda miss it now. Hint. Hint. But she did a recent one, first of the b5media Podcasts, so, that’ll do for now.
Anyway, have a listen to the latest BoBCast! I’d like to thank Abe for hosting the podcast and Aileen for providing the Yellow Cab pizza, spicy chicken wings and Sola Lemon Iced Tea!

Haha, your sister is actually closer than what “liv[ing] in different continents implies.” That was actually my second podcast, would you believe?

Rico: D’ya mean because we’re almost always “connected”? Yea, she’s just a ping away!
And, oh yea, I believe you. I reckon I listened to the first one.
