XBox Mayhem @ Yuga’s

By The Parodist | May 5, 2007

XBox logoTwas a funny sight. Grown up men resorting to catcalls and just plain rowdy behaviour while the women simply looked on or were found behind laptops. Sheeesh. A case of freaky friday perhaps? Fine, some of the girls played a game or two but the console was primarily occupied by the guys. Gawd. I’ve never seen them act the way they did — especially over a game of NBA 2K7! Goodness. What else can one expect in an XBox Party, eh? It was definitely a chance to admire the new TV. Hehe. ;)

There was food (lots!) and drinks were overflowing. The sexy sling was on the drinks list, as usual, but Abe mixed up his own version of the Weng-Weng. Mmmm. AND there’s free WiFi! How do you think I can blog about this party now? LOL. (We’re actually wrapping things up now.)

Shout out to the bloggers in attendance: Rico, Aileen, Markku, Joey, The Macalua, The Sharmskee, Noemi, Lauren and Chris.

Of course, a big thanks to the host Yuga. I had a good time! Care to host a movie night next?

Aaaaarggghhh! My back still hurts from falling asleep on the couch! I can only watch so much NBA and FIFA games without nodding off… can’t imagine how they managed to play until way past 4! Sniff!

Aileen: Probably cuz we were too pre-occupied with bartending, our laptops and conversations. ;) They grabbed the chance to be “boys” again. Hehe.

Noemi: Yea, we actually got home past 5am — the sun was almost out! :-o Dear me. If there’s one thing you need to know about the BoB getting together, it’s that we often pull an all-nighter. Glad to have spent time with you!

All-nighter? Hmm… That sure doesn’t sound like BoB in Cebu eh? Hehehehe Well at least we still know when to give up and succumb to sleep.

[...] Last Friday, Abe had us over for an XBox 360 Party! The Macalua provided the console, which was plugged into Abe’s brand new 32″ Samsung HD LCD TV. Sasha and Aileen stated the obvious, that men will be men and boys will be boys. So people like Markku, Joey, and Chris ended up ignoring beautiful women like Sharmskee, Noemi, and Lauren) as we were all busy beating our chests and proving our prowess. This night showed me the beauty and clarity of HD (high-definition) TV. But first, a little gaming advice. [...]

[...] This edition of Five on Friday is ridiculously late it isn’t even within the week it’s supposed to be in! But pardon me, I had too much fun playing with Marc’s Xbox 360 paired with Abe’s 32–inch LCD I totally lost track of time, getting home just minutes before Saturday’s sunrise. Well, the boys were just too preoccupied we didn’t notice pretty much what the girls were doing. I would’ve published this entry yesterday but I was working with Karl & Mimi (with Dax and King) manning the crowd–pleasing clique photobooth. [...]

Gail: Yea, sleep is a luxury. I hope you’re sick-free and working now! ;)
    Markku: Twas! Twas!
Chris: Glad you enjoyed the party! :)
Dexie: Dear me. I reckon the boys will NEVER agree to that! Tis ok with me, though. I’m done watching all seven seasons!

    Boys will be boys! ;)
It’s really difficult for most girls to understand this unless they themselves are gamers. I guess it’s the same thing as how guys can’t understand why girls like watching Sex and the City. Hehe :D

Jaypee: Touché! Hay, naku! It was just ludicrous is all — but in a good way! I just wish Abe would host a movie night, we can go watch a weird French film or something. It doesn’t have to be a Sex & the City marathon.
