BBN Launches Vista Pinas!
By The Parodist | May 15, 2007

Join me as I welcome Eugene Alvin Villar and his love of maps showcased in Vista Pinas, the newest blog to be launched under the Bayanihan Blog Network (BBN).
If you’re familiar and fascinated with Google Earth (I actually got addicted to it back in 2005) then you’ll definitely love this blog that advocates tech tourism. As much as most people would love to really go out there and see all 7,100++ islands, with thousands of must-see points, of our beloved country, I’m sure we’d all lack the time and energy to see them all.
To give you a quick peek on what to expect, I’ve been to Shangri-La Mactan Island Resort but I certainly didn’t get to see the place through a bird’s eye view like how Eugene’s post showed me. With that, I’m given a different angle, so to speak.
It all happens in the comfort of your home and done in your most convenient time — traveling via the internet.
I recommend that you head on over Vista Pinas. Let’s join Eugene as he travels around the Philippines — the geek-y way.

Hi Sasha! Thanks for the welcome. I’m not a well-traveled person, haven’t even been to Cebu. The farthest in the Philippines I’ve ever gone to is Laoag, Sorsogon and Bacolod. So Vista Pinas lets me see other places and revisit the places I’ve been to.

Eugene: No worries.
Well-traveled or not, I’m sure you’ll add a special touch to each place you’ll get to share with us and when the time comes that you do get to see a particular place, you get to share more personal insights and, not to mention, photos in a different angle.

Am wishing you the best for your blog, Eugene!
