How much is your blog worth?
It’s one of those days that I’m a little un-inspired to do my usual work online. I’ve been up as early as quarter to five in the morning and, of course, I found myself going online immediately. Egad! Tell me it’s not something I should be worried about!
With nothing to do but gallyvant around the net — which is actually the only thing I’d wanted to do after having gone through my emails — I found something that amused me a bit. Hehe.
It’s Dane Carson’s Business Opportunities Weblog asking the question, “How much is your blog worth?”
Er, well — you all know I keep a lot of blogs, right? But I reckon I’ll just feature three of them: The Parody, Tops 2 Bottoms and Style Manila.

The Parody
is worth
$56,454.00.
Tops 2 Bottoms
is worth
$130,973.28.
Style Manila
is worth
$43,469.58.
I’m rich! I’m rich, I tell ‘ya!
I reckon it’s timely to check on the potential monetary value of your blogs since it’s mid-year. I wonder how much it’ll be at year-end? Hmmm.
So, aren’t you curious about your own? I’m certain that some of you guys have already tried this. Share a link to the post you made on it so we can check it out! And for the rest who haven’t even thought about it, you can head over Dane’s blog. Even just for fun — esp just for fun!

That is one longgggg shopping spree!
I checked last May and I’m tempted to cash out.
Ajay: For sure!
I just might need an extra room for the goodies I’d buy. On second thought, would it help me buy a car?!
Luis: I wouldn’t blame you, really. LOL. A good question, though, is if would you really sell it. Can you name an amount you’d sell your blog for?
Mine’s currently at $23,146.14. Last February it was $18,065.28.
Eugene: Wow, cool! There’s a noticeable change! That’s not saying I’m surprised.. with the kind of blog you keep, I know it’s inevitable. Good on you!
Hello Sasha,
From my blog, I wrote an entry which I ended with:
“I must get on with telling the story behind all that.
That might relieve some of the withdrawal symptoms.”
To which you replied:
“I reckon you should. It’s always nice to see my country through another person’s eyes. I’m glad she touched you that way and that much. She will always welcome you back with arms wide open.
I’m looking forward to reading about your experiences.
”
To which then I replied:
“Hi Sasha,
I found out about your site just recently… by googling Sabang Beach, Palawan. Y’know; to search if anyone else has written about the place.
Now, I’m curious. Did I leave an online footprint that made you find out about my site? Or do I now appear on search engines?
Thanks.
R.”
So, anywho. I’m sorry for trying to correspond with you this way; I just couldn’t find a way to do so more privately. Ideally something a little more one on one, such as email, would probably be more appropriate. But alas, I couldn’t find a link anywhere in this one or your other sites. Maybe I wasn’t looking hard enough?
In any case, I’m curious: How DID you find out about my tiny little ‘cry for attention’ blog?
Thanks
Randy
PS: You have me linked on your “Community” page. And I thank you for that. One request – Could you please change the author name to Rinaldi Bueno-Gulinao. I figured I might as well take responsibility that I’m the guilty one. Hell, if anyone reads through it (dunno why anyone would !) it’d be easy to figure out who I was.
Rinaldi: (Can I call you that?
) Well, to answer a few of your questions:
Yes, you did leave an online footprint esp when you linked to my blog, WP tracks incoming links, you see. And that’s how I found your blog (which is quite an interesting read, you know). BTW, thanks for linking, too.
My email (theparodtist [@] gmail [dot] com) can be found here.
Finally, it’s done. I’ve complied with your request. Hope to see you around more often and keep on blogging!
My blog now is worth $13,548.96. It is not bad for a new blog. What do you say?
