What do you do when you’re not blogging?
I’m guilty of spending hours and hours glued on TV. Er, well, I don’t watch TV really. I watch DVDs.
For the past few weeks I’ve been addicted to watching series. Let me give you a quick run down on what I’ve been immersing myself with.
1. CSI Miami, Season 5

I’ve got to admit, I didn’t really expect I’d get hooked on this CSI series. I loved the original CSI Las Vegas. And I found David Caruso’s take on his character Horatio to be so funny that I had a hard time digesting the drama. I believe Jim Carey was able to hit the nail right on its head when he did his impression — him doing a Caruso-doing-Horatio — over at the David Letterman Show.
Rico didn’t make it any easier to watch since I couldn’t help but roll my eyes over his smirking and taunting whenever we reach a scene when Horatio/Caruso does his thing. LOL. Oh, dear. I really don’t know who to blame, the actor or the director. Heh.
2. CSI New York, Season 3

Why, oh, why did they choose Baba O’Riley by The Who as the theme song?
I know that the song is quite popular (covered by the likes of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Mr. Big, Grateful Dead and The Flaming Lips) but it’s not a song I’d associate with New York, that’s all. Well, that’s just me.
3. Grey’s Anatomy, Season 3

I’m totally addicted to this TV series. I’ve now watched all three seasons and I’m so looking forward to the 4th season. Imagine my excitement when I found out that it’s starting on the 27th! I wonder if they’ll be airing it simultaneously across the globe. Otherwise, I’ll be waiting for the complete streaming months and months from now. Ah, well. I’ll try not to think about it too much.
4. Heroes, Season 1

Believe it or not, I finished all 23 episodes in less than 2 days. I actually sat through 21 episodes straight through. I’m your everyday couch potato, yeah? LOL. Can you believe that I’m actually on my way to starting on Rome II? Hehe.
Oh, I did watch films, too. They were Nomad, National Lampoon’s Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj, Evan Almighty, The Condemned, Grey Matters, The Shawshank Redemption and Marie Antoinette. I’m still trying to remember the rest but I can’t. Gah. But I reckon you have an idea on just how much time I’ve spent not blogging, yes? Funny cuz I did manage to meet my 6 posts a week across 4 blogs quota and a few more here and there. And there is the matter of going out on dates, attending events, processing photos, and reading Harry Potter (I’m on book 5 now, btw). Oh, yes. I still sleep and eat and check my email. Hehe.
Now that I’ve managed to break down how I spend my time, I’m quite surprised at just how much I’ve managed to cram in. Egad.
What about you? What do you do when you’re not blogging?

Looks like working home… has it’s perks! *exit stage left*
You forgot to put on your sunnies. LOL.
Hmmm…. are you sure you’re even working? :-p
Either that or I simply have no life whatsoever.
Oy I used to watch DVD’s on end too but I ran out of suggestions. Waiting for desperate housewives new season. hehe. When not watching, I go the gym or putter around my garden..
Experiment! Well, not sure what sort of shows you’d enjoy (and what you haven’t seen), so, I’m not sure what to suggest. Gym sounds good. I’m actually working around to penciling that in. I will go to the gym one of these days. Garden. Hmmm. I don’t have one, not that I claim to have a green thumb, so, scratch that thought.
I love CSI, especially NY. I just have to love Mac’s hardness and Danny’s emotions and Flack! Flack! LOL.
I used to not like CSI: Miami, but I’m starting to like it now, if only because of David Caruso. Gotta love the way he talks to the people on sideview, and his polarized sunglasses and his quotable quotes: “Guns and Money,” and “Burn, baby burn.” =))
Tina: I like NY though at the beginning of the season the episodes look a bit rough twas probably because I got used to the Miami formula, which is actually good in storytelling, despite the Caruso-Horatio thing. I’ve got to admit, I was counting down the minutes till we get to that part.
Gloria: These series can get really addictive, eh? Just like Harry Potter! I can’t wait to read Book 6! Oh, did you get the HP book you won from Yuga? I’m envious.
super addictive!
i like CSI miami least. NY mas type ko. oo got the book from yuga kaso nauna na kambal magbasa, inagawan na ako.
Perhaps the wait will make the read better. At least, no one will be bugging you to finish so that they can have their turn. Hehe.
I’m doing chores, chasing a 1 yr old and a 9 yr old when not blogging,
Or shopping, or driving my husband crazy, hehehe. I work-out too, and I watch too much TV, heh.
Shopping! Yay! I do that too! Loads! Hehe.
I know you watch too much TV. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be blogging about soaps.
They chose Baba O’ Riley because Cameron Crowe used Sparks in Almost Famous. Nah. I don’t really know why. Hehehe.
Not blogging, working, surfing the web, etc. means I get to spend more time with this guy: http://shutterview.net/album/obra/obra_joaquin.png
And I thought you were being serious. Heh. ZOMG! He’s so adorable sitting there inside that hamper. Is it time for his bath?
hi! Bloghopping from out here.
I do watch a lot of DVD/TV too. Mostly series like Monk, Criminal Minds, CSI. Or I teach. Yup, mostly I teach and stay at home whenever there’s no teaching sked.
Glad to know you are able to do all these things and more. have a great week!
Nah. He was just playing around.
Try watching How I met you mother and 30 Rock
I love them all but I can’t stand Gray’s Anatomy. I think the only medical show that I really like is House. I love it. Heroes is so much fun and I love Both CSIs (though I like NY better) because I like the quality of writing. Nice list!
When I’m not blogging, I’m probably wroking. Or hanging around with other bloggers.
Julie: Hallo. I guess you like them police thingies, yeah? I can’t help but wonder what you teach!
Will: Oh, I was thinking more in the lines of bath-slash-laundry, hence, the baby in the hamper. Eeep. I guess I’m not that witty after all.
Didi: Never heard of them but I’ll look them up.
Jon: I like House, too. I like Grey’s cuz of the McSappy, McMushy moments. Hee hee.
Ade: Work?!? Your blogging buds from The Man Blog? I like hanging out with Mikey, er, not that I’ve been doing a lot of it. So, don’t quote me on that.
30 Rock just won an Emmy!
I guess that means it’s worth a look then!
I’d just like to ask, what’s the time frame in all these? Basically did you do ur living, blogging & watching all the listed shows, reading, etc in 1 month, 2weeks?? Just curious.
I am “hyper-active” myself
So Im not really surprised you’ve managed to juggle all these things. Yeah, I consider watching movies, DVDs “doing something”. May not be as productive as work but we do need to relax & restore once in a while. Though honestly, sitting thru 21 episodes of Heroes in 1 go, sounds crazy to me. No offense meant of course. Suit yourself, we need to do what we need to do, right?
Cheers!
