Halloween, Cemeteries and Domain Renewals
By The Parodist | October 31, 2007
Happy Halloween..? Er, not entirely sure if you need me to greet you that. Do we really know what “halloween” is? We don’t have that in our country. Halloween is just an excuse to party and get candies for the rich kids. Oh, tell me I’m wrong. Heh.
What we do have (and give a damn about) is the All Souls-slash-Saints Day, right? We spend “Hallow’s eve” or the 31st in the cemetery or panchon to spend some time with both the living and the dead. Do you and your family still practice this? My family does. We do it as a reason to get together like a reunion of sorts. I’ll be at Manila Memorial in Sucat later, together with the rest of the Padura clan. Anyone want to meet up? Let’s all go see Ninoy Aquino’s grave. Hehe.

Lastly, that thing about my absence.
I’m seriously hoping that this sort of thing isn’t something that’s normal because I know it isn’t. I’ve got other blogs who are going through their renewal for the second time and yet I never saw them go out of commission, or let my readers see that the blog may be *kaput*.
I’ve had friends ping me, worried that the domain’s lost or that my blog’s gone. And there I was trying to explain that I, myself, don’t understand why it had to happen like that because everything was paid for and they were informed before the due date. But yea, it was still MY fault. Whatever.
Anyway, to those of you who’ve been with me here at The Parody, I apologise for my absence. Did anyone miss me? He would’ve loved to have buried me in time for the season but sorry, mate.
So, yea, I’m back. Yay!

Wow. That’s a bit of a trip for you north folk. But yea, we’re a bunch of masochists. We love the hustle and bustle of a crowded cemetery.
Kidding.
Thanks! Glad to know you like visiting me here.

Penny: You can always re-schedule. The graves won’t go anywhere, now, will they?
Or there’s always next year!
Markku: Yea, experience is a great teacher. I’ll make sure to do that next time. Er, what’s ‘WB!’?
