An Invitation to a Blogger Mixer

One of the great things about blogging is when we get that chance to put a face behind the blog we frequent. We grab every opportunity to connect with these people we relate to in the blogosphere, offline. Personally, there are a number of bloggers I wish to meet in person but, alas, location is always an issue. It’s geographically impossible. However, will we pass up on the opportunity to meet the ones who live relatively nearby?

This month, I’ve got family coming to the country to visit. Boy, am I ever so excited to see my nephew, Cameron, again and to finally meet my niece, Hali, in person. Of course, their parents are with them. Hehe. Which brings me to my point, my sister (being the mum) will be in town and has put out an invitation to meet local bloggers. She’s heard a lot about the blogging events we’ve had in the past that’s why she’s pretty keen on meeting the people who form the Philippine blogosphere. My sister, Shai, is one of the owners and VP for Community of b5media, a Canada-based global blog network.

All of us Philippine-based b5media bloggers are going to have an intimate dinner scheduled on the 29th with Shai. And scheduled the following night, 30th November, the Blogger Mixer, which is open to all bloggers who wish to get together and share a night with other bloggers in the ‘sphere, will be my sister ‘s chance to meet and mingle with all of us.

We’re still making final arrangements for the venue but as soon as things are in place, I’ll update you (better stay tuned!) or better yet, if you have a Facebook account, RSVP on the event page and check it regularly for updates. There are people who already signed up for it, so, don’t leave yourself out in the cold.

The Blogger Mixer will be a great opportunity to make new friends and network your blogs. There will be b5media schwags and a few more knick-knacks to be given away.

I really hope you guys can make it. I’d love to meet you guys in person (if I haven’t) and I’d love to hang out with you for even just a little bit (if I have) on that night.
